Our Mission
At the heart of The Undewrdawgz is a strong emphasis on respect—for coaches, teammates, opponents, and the game itself—and a relentless commitment to hard work. Athletes are expected to show up, give maximum effort, and support one another through challenges, fostering a culture of accountability and mutual growth. This disciplined environment not only prepares players for success in football but also shapes them into respectful, hardworking individuals ready to lead in any arena. Our rally cry is "Nobody Cares. Work Harder." Complaints get you nowhere, but working hard does.
Our Program
The Underdawgz is an offseason training program for high school tackle and flag football players. Our time is split between speed/agility training and position-specific work. We meet on Sundays throughout the Winter and Spring (time and location TBD). For skill position players, we will compete in 7on7 matches and tournaments throughout the offseason. For 2026 we are also looking into 5v5 competitions as well for the linemen. This program is for current and future Alhambra High School students (8th graders welcome) .
About Us
My name is Stephen Parini. I started the Underdawgz in 2025 for one simple reason: my son and his friends wanted to play more football. Not just throw the ball around, but put in work to get better for the fall. It was their passion and drive to improve that fueled this fire. I was fortunate enough to have a great friend, Zack Martin, dive in headfirst with me to get this thing going. We rented fields and got to work. The players had fun, got better, and want some more! More is what they will get in 2026. Coach Zack is the Director of Football Operations for the Underdawgz and I am the President.
We focus on growth, not winning. We have high expectations of our players on and off the field. Football is a privilege, not a right. We take this seriously. We are not for everyone. We do not put up with prima donna behavior. Though a little trash talking is part of the game, blatant disrespect of teammates, coaches, officials, parents, or really anyone is not tolerated. Being lazy will not be tolerated. Players will be warned once, and then kicked out of the program. We expect this behavior to extend to the community and the classroom.
